Patrick J. Lorge, DDS
Dr. Patrick Lorge uses his wealth of knowledge, acquired over 30 years of practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery to provide compassionate and responsive care to his patients.
About Dr. Lorge
As a teenager, Dr. Lorge shadowed a family friend who was an oral surgeon. After seeing the power of oral surgery in action, he decided no other profession could overshadow his interest in and desire to become an oral surgeon. Because of that formative experience, Dr. Lorge has been practicing as a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon for 30 years and continues to enjoy his work, particularly by providing patients with complete transparency regarding their procedure and finding ways to ensure they feel comfortable during their experience.
Dr. Lorge discovered MOSDI in the early 90s when a doctor who worked at the practice called him to tell him about an opportunity in Madison, WI. Knowing the area and excited to contribute to a successful practice, he welcomed the opportunity with open arms. MOSDI is a unique practice in that it has a large staff of surgeons under one roof; this fosters an environment of collaboration and connection. At MOSDI, Dr. Lorge can practice his values of putting patients first and consistently prioritizing doing the right thing.
Education & Residency
Dr. Lorge graduated from the University of Minnesota with his bachelor’s degree in biology in 1986. He continued his education at the university’s school of dentistry and earned his Doctor of Dental Science degree in 1990. Choosing to remain at the university he knew and loved, he completed his residency at the University of Minnesota’s Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 1994.

Outside the Office
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Lorge enjoys snowboarding, cycling, and golfing. He and his wife enjoy quality time together and often visit their adult children living out of state.
