Pre-Operative Instructions: Full-Arch Restoration

Prior to your full arch procedure, there are some helpful tips to ensure a smooth recovery and an optimal result. Begin using the prescription rinse 5 days prior to the surgery date. Antibiotics should be started the day before surgery unless you have been instructed otherwise.

Your surgeon or anesthesia team will advise you ahead of your appointment when to stop eating and drinking and which medications may be taken with a sip of water the morning of surgery.  Wear loose-fitting clothing such as a short-sleeved T-shirt and comfortable pants. Please bring a change of clothing in the event it is needed.

Consider stocking up on foods that are very soft in texture. A good rule of thumb is anything that can be easily cut with a fork is safe for you to eat, such as noodles, rice, fish, bananas, steamed vegetables, and protein shakes. Having ice packs ready will allow you to begin icing your face when you get home to minimize swelling. Please reach out to our office if you have any questions regarding how to prepare for your surgery.
